3rd Monday of September is celebrated as “respect for elderly day” which is a national holiday in Japan and luckily this time it came on 16th sept i.e. my birthday..so celebration is must..I planned a Yokohama city trip on my birthday..yes there is a special reason also to that.. day started with cutting cake ceremony..I bought small cake from sho and then cut along with my friends..then started our journey..from my home we (my 2 shared house mates) went to Yokohama..first spot to view Japanese traditional garden.climate was very good..but raining so had to open our umbrellas. The garden is just a beauty..everywhere greenery..birds chirping..well planned..for photographers it’s a treat.almost 2 hours we spent in the garden (yes its that big one) and proceeded to next spot..a yokohama city. This city is just scenic one..and also is big international port..luckily we found one Indian restaurant “Happy” there and had stomachful lunch. Then we went to see cup noodles museum.. it has all kind of varies of cup noodles..this museum is opened for remembrance of the investor of cup noodles. Even for small kids they actual allow to do cup noodles from machine..Then we captured lot many things which you can see in photos many different structures of buildings..yokohama downtown..one unique thing we observed was circle walk over the road..just fantastic. The we headed to yohohama eye (a giant wheel giving entire yohohama view)..there is a amusement park as well but its not that big and mainly for kids..the view from eye is just scenic..actually these things should be experienced by self and not through words..photos can show some views..the experience was wonderful..then moved osanbashi pier..a big international port terminal of Japan..you can see all land as well as sea view from there..in between there is old architecture yokohama red brickhouse which is now converted to shopping mall. Very good to see..spend few hours roaming city..and then went to Chinatown..good place for eating and sweets..afterwards we went to Japan ship park where ship is decorated.(Nippon maru park)..and last spot was to go up to 69th floor of yokohama landmark tower..the speciality of this tower is for those who visit this tower on their birthdays the entry is FREE..so yes one best place to cover on your birthday without any expense..there is observatory there on 69th floor..night view is just splendid..360 degree view free of cost.. no one can imagine..thats why I chose this place for yesterday..to celebrate my birthday..the day was full of fun..new country..new city..new friends..
just enjoyed every bit of it.storing all these memories just returned back home..
