Corona virus (COVID 19) survival in Japan

Since 2019 end entire world is facing a severe pandemic coronavirus and its still continuing. Almost all the countries are affected due to this issue. Many countries are on the verge of recession. This is the most difficult time which everyone is facing. Hope everything will get normal gradually and world is back with its beauty.

Diamond princess ship was one of the main reason which started this corona entry into Japan. When that cruise touched Japan port few got detected with this virus. This ship came from China land to Japan as next stop. The time Japanese government know and takes action against this people have already came out and it started spreading the virus. Initially Japan was ranked 2nd in the virus affected world country list. during same time due to chinese new year many chinese entered country and that further added spreading the virus to entire nation. When this spread started increasing japanese government started worrying and thinking of taking some preventive actions. Meanwhile this disease started spreading in many other countries like south korea,USA and other asian countries. Japanese government didnt take any major action against this disease due to Olympics 2020. But unfortunately it spreaded so fast across world that olympics postponed to 2021. post that news japanese government started taking some major actions like restricting people entering the country, closing many public places.Many countries to avoid spread of this virus, did lockdown which means no going out, many of the public places are closed including restaurants etc. Japan also did similar things to avoid further spread of virus and it took action by delcaring state of emergency. Now state of emergency is not equal to lockdown. in state of emergency still people can go out whereever they want. Trains/buses running with less frequency, small restaurents open, small shops and grocery shops open. In SOE government can only request people and businesses to stay safe/close/not to go out but to protect human rights government legally cant implement pure lockdown like in other countries.

Even in such situations Japan lifted state of emergency in just 6 weeks and became of the top countries lifting ban due to coronavirus. Now you must be thinking how come japan done such thing. There is no rocket science behind it. Few things which contributed lifting this early which are mentioned below

• Less population

• Very disciplined people

• Cleanliness

• Traditional japanese living style like washing hands before eating,no hugging,no shake hands

• social distancing. in general japanese people maintain social distancing

• use of masks when you are sick. In normal conditions also japanese use masks whenever they are having cold/cough

• obeying requests from government

• self discipline - understanding the seriousness of the situation shops themselves closed for safety

• precautions taken everywhere by everyone

So enforcement is not the only solution if people act wisely to protect themselves and the country.
