A wonderful sunny was present on Oct 20 and me along with 3 other guys (Vijay,Mohan and Siva) started our journey to Hitachi seaside park early morning.
This park is present in Ibaraki prefecture which is 3 hours from Tokyo by limited express. One must take a limited express ticket (1580) in addition to swipe a SUICA or PASMO card for base fare. The express train stops only on 2 stations and then to the destination station Katsuta. Station itself is very small and during peak season they start round trip buses from station to park.
We started around 8:45 from Shinagawa, Tokyo by limited express. Had a chitchat in train.We didn't have reservation for a seat but still we could travel to the destination using ticket. we reached to Katsuta after 1.5 hours and people were standing with the direction board for bus stop. We did buy a round trip ticket along with park entrance fee (1080) and started our journey to park.
The park itslef is very big with different parts with different things to do. Majority of the park is covered with flower land. Some part is having amusement park. Just after reaching we had some breakfast and then started for flower park. And yes from far only we could see the crowd and the color and were happy.. when we reached closer to it it was such a fantastic experience..entire land was covered with red kochia bushes. usually in autumn it turns red in color and stay with the same color for 7 days and fortunately we went to the same season when they turned red. Everywhere you could see only these bushes and red land. People were taking lots of photos for their dp or insta and the site was full of fun and mesmerizing experience.
We stayed there alomost for 3 hours and then planned for our return journey. But there should be something thrill in it so we planned a nearby (actually not that close it was 1.5 hours from this park) Oarai where there is a golden beach and a shrine having one entrance from sea. luckily there was not much rush there and we could spend a good time in that peaceful place with some fun among us. mind you the last bus from there is at 17:30 so if you want to cover that part then do reach and leave within time else there wont be any commutation available. We took a last bus from there and went to Mito station where again we purchased limited express ticket and returned back to Shinagawa tokyo.
This trip was quick one but always been remembered for the fun we did and for the places we visited.
