After long time planned for a hiking. Mount Mitake (Mitakesan) is a 929m-high, worshipped mountain where the historic shrine Musashi Mitake-jinja Shrine stands. Mt. Mitake is now known as a favorite hiking spot within easy access from Central Tokyo, great for both new and experienced hikers. On the trails in the mountain, there are views of waterfalls with fresh water, strange-shaped rocks and mossy bushes. On the river at Mitake Valley, rafting and canoeing can be enjoyed.

At 6:00 we left from home and took a train to mt. mitake. Almost after 2 hours journey we reached mitake station. Surprisingly seen lots of old people came for hiking..we started our journey by walking towards mountain. Mountain area was just amazing.. very calm and peaceful..pure nature..we started climbing the Mitakesan with full energy..everyone we meeting there were wishing "konnichiwa" (hello) and really felt good..luckily we got a chance to visit in autumn hence the climate was very good.. it was sunny but cold around 12-13 degrees so no sweating..almost after 1.5 hours we reached at mitakesan..this mountain is famous for a shrine..we visited shrine..then planned for another hike..this mountain is connected to many other mountains..so we started our trail to mt Otake..just beautiful scenic views.. we just forgot ourtiredness due to the nature..started climbing following waterfalls..reached to the top and then decided to start our down trail..with another route..

Reached down again after 2 hours with legs paining but still having fun...then decided I should continue hiking like this to reach to the aim of Mt. fuji..entire hiking was fun filled with natural beauty..got to see autumn foliage too..keep all these memories started our return journey to home..In between got to at Tachikawa station and had a wonderful dinner in Mayur indian restaurant.
