A strong violent typhoon was roaring over Main land of Japan. The typhoon was so big that it is covering entire Japan. Since a week Japan meteorological is tracking this typhoon and this typhoon has grown very big in just 24 years. After almost 60 years such a big typhoon going to hit Japan. In 1958 very big typhoon hit and its again a turn. Its predicted that over 13m waves expected and around 500mm rainfall in just few hours. Rugby worldcup matches/F1 race were already cancelled for safety. All flights/trains were suspended. Everyone especially people from abroad were bit tensed as they never experienced such thing in their respective countries. In my case also I never experienced such typhoons in India and hence checking every detail published on sites. I had planned to move to new home during this long week but due to typhoon I postponed it. A terrific situation was there in all supermarkets... all stacks were just empty and people are just standing in lines to buy whatever they get..I also got some stuff like cakes/garlic bread/cup noodles etc for quick food help. Usual post typhoon water/electricity goes off and hence the precaution.

I stayed in shared house only for safer side so that I can have some company of others during such tough time. And the day arrived...10/12 (10th Oct) since morning people were checking updates if there was any alert message. And we received first alert message at around 10:00 and everyone just ran in common area just to know if anyone has understood the meaning of message as messages are in Japanese. We have few Japanese guys here who know English a bit so they explained there is no risk. Luckily in our area there is no evacuation alert hence all relieved. I have prepared an evacuation bag in case of emergency. It was already started black out..I just went out for curiosity and found just alone on the road with few cars.. I received around 3-4 alerts but luckily my area was not falling into any of it I had not required to evacuate. We together continuously watching news and status of typhoon.. we had gas working so cooked our dinner meantime..and finally it hit our area around 20:00.. it was crazy and scary as well..wind was blowing with massive speed..very heavily raining and blackout so we were just praying to be safe..just to kill time we were playing cards but still our mind was in news and updates only. After around 2 hours of horrifying stay on us typhoon moved..when typhoon moved we just thought of being at vortex that’s why it was very calm but in news finally they showed that it moved from our area..post typhoon it was dead silence everywhere..no wind..very little rains..no vehicle on roads..

Yes this is one of the experiences worth sharing with everyone..I give all credit to Japanese government and their management. They kept alerting people time to time risking their lives..minute to minute update…due to their good management there were very less casualties. Damage in river part is big and people recovering from it..
